Technology is great. We use it for many wonderful things. Telephones that take pictures, texts that accompany pictures, showing where you are at any given time of day or night, and the list goes on and on.

It occurred to me we should be able to use technology in a helpful way while we discuss the pros and cons of buying a timeshare. Have you ever taken the time to list the reasons why you buy a timeshare? Have you ever tried to weight the Pros and Cons of buying a timeshare? It is an interesting process, and each one of us is different.

First start by identifying what is most important to you. There are a number of "must haves" for a timeshare to be appealing. We were interested in location, water, facilities, safety, convenience, unit size, proximity to list just a few items that are important. Others include restaurants, onsite groceries, "feel" of the place, and attraction for repetitive return visits.

On the other hand, there are a number of reasons for not buying too, not the least of which include the time of life, financial ability to return repeatedly, health, and family matters. Again, there is a whole list factors that lean against buying that we all should consider.

We thought it would be fun to create a Pro Con table. You can try it out by rating factors that are important considerations that support either buying or not buying a timeshare.


The idea is to create your own pros and cons. List them, and give each item a weight in terms of importance. That list and weights becomes a basis for creating an interactive spreadsheet to help you see timeshare purchases in the "cold light of day".

While we made changes to the Aimfair platform, the log in process has changed too.

First thing to do is check your browser's Bookmark URL for Aimfair. Change the bookmarked URL to http://aimfair.com. Favorite Bookmarks do not automatically update. We do not point to any other page but aimfair.com. You don't have to put an "s" after the "p" in "http" nor do you have include the previously included "www." before the word aimfair "as in https://www.". Make these changes and you will eliminate the errors that appear in your log in process.

How do you check your browser's Bookmarks? At the top of the page while in your browser you will see the word Bookmarks. Tap the link to your bookmarks and find the URL for aimfair. Edit the address and save. You will not have any more trouble until we make another change. For now, we are set to go!

The new log in symbol is . Note the tip of the arrow is pointing to the bracket. Tap that symbol to log in.

When you do, you will see boxes where you can enter your username and password. Enter them and tap the Log In button.

One other note: Subscribing Members need to log in to view content, participate in the forum or list an ad on Aimfair. Please follow the new process otherwise you will see the "Oops" (Now called "Page+not+found+or+permissions+required")page saying you need to "Subscribe" to continue. All you have to do is log in, unless your subscription has expired.

Technology is great, but when we are off by a bit or two, it can be frustrating.

Nature surrounds us at every turn, creating a serene backdrop to our recent two-week retreat at Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit.





Our initial week was a whirlwind of delightful encounters, both with new acquaintances and cherished friends. Days were filled with leisurely strolls across the expansive property, adventurous crossings over the suspension bridge to enjoy meals at the Brezza Restaurant, scenic rides on the SkyDream Gondola to the BON Entertainment Park, and time spent at the iconic sales breakfast and update.

The second week was a shared experience with friends from home. It was their third year at Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit. Their return, like ours, was met with resounding success, a testament to the enduring allure of this destination.

What force pulls us back to Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit year after year? Perhaps it's encapsulated in a single word: freedom. As guests, we revel in the liberty to explore the vast property, traverse the sprawling beach that extends for over a mile, indulge in various pools, engage in daily activities, bask in the sun's warmth, and venture off to the nearby marina.

Amidst the luxurious and spacious accommodations tailored to diverse preferences, the staff, despite language barriers and ongoing training challenges, readily extend their assistance. Unforeseen events over the past three years have impacted staffing levels, prompting management to replace seasoned associates to maintain high qualities of service. The repercussions of Covid and the recent hurricane in Acapulco have presented obstacles, yet the commitment to rebuilding and refining remains unwavering.

Despite the preceding challenges, the enduring BON at Vidanta Nuevo Nayarit and other Vidanta oceanside properties continues to captivate us daily. It serves as a constant source of tranquility and joy, with staff members transforming our interactions into friendly exchanges as we pass through halls and walking paths.

From the warm smiles of gardeners tending to the lush foliage to the diligent housekeepers attending to our rooms, and the supportive concierge staff reaching out to assist, the spirit of hospitality prevails.
