Tiger Woods hits a golf ball at about 130 miles per hour. I am sure I can't get over 100 miles per hour.So what happens to the golf ball when it is hit at 150 miles per hour? Check this out. It is a golf ball hitting a steel wall at 150 miles per hour. http://www.flixxy.com/golf-ball-slow-motion.htm#.UT4ixFd-tSs
It is really amazing to see how much a golf ball compresses at 150 miles per hour. As a hacker, I now have a great appreciation for the term "compression" when the teacher tells me to maximize the head speed and compress the golf ball.
Did you know there are three regions of the top of the line golf ball? And, did you know that if your swing does not generate head speeds of over 120 miles per hour, you only use two of the three areas of the golf ball?
Enough already. Let's all get on the course and improve our swing to increase speed and compression!
