Hotels in the Park are growing. The area to the right is said to be Cascades Hotel and water park, and the structure on the left is thought to be Kindom of the Sun Hotel. These structures are part of phase one of a two phase plan.

Grupo Vidanta and its partners are scheduled to spend a large sum of money on the East side of the property. Under construction now is Phase One of a possible two phase plan. Phase One is expected to be finished November, 2018. Phase Two is expected to be completed in 2021 or 2022, and, as is always the case, everything is subject ot change. Themeparkuniversity.com speculates "It seems that the water park will be the focus of phase one and it may just be the most elaborate water park ever built."Its hard to visualize how Phase One will end up. The two pretty large structures that are now growing out of the ground will change as skin is applied to the buildings and the grounds take shape. The scale is amazing. Take a look at the person walking in the first photo of the four that appear below. You can hardly see him. Then look at the second photo. You can see the person, but he is still very small relative to the building that is going on around him. The first two images are said to be the Kingdom of the Sun hotel.
Imagine the area in the middle of this semi-circle being filled with dirt and features up to the top of the first floor. The openings at the ground level will likely be under the ground. Watch and enjoy the construction process.
The person in the middle of the semi-circle is tiny when compared with the buildings that surround him. When finished the area he is in will likely be 20 feet or more higher than it is now.
The same is true in the second two images. This area is said to be the Cascades Hotel and water park. Again, the scale is amazing. There are men working on a concrete pad. They are hardly visible.
The Waterworld will be located in this section of The Park. Reportedly, Waterworld will be one of the largest water parks in the world. Certainly the scale suggests it will be huge.
The sales staff have said components of the Waterworld section of The Park are being built in facilities that are located elsewhere. A lot of work will be completed between now and December, 2018 when The Park is scheduled to open.
