East Cape - Update
February 22, 2019
More images of the changes taking place have arrived. Clearly, construction is moving forward. Workers are busy on the first tower, and the second one is rising from the ground. One report offered an opening date in late 2019. It might be a bit ambitious, but maybe 2020 is possible.Vidanta's giant V symbol is at the entrance to the property off the East Cape Highway. You won't be able to miss it as you drive north from San Jose del Cabo. The entrance is about 45 minutes from the San Jose del Cabo airport.

The roadway to the sales outlook is well lit and paved. You can see from this photo that the terrain is very rugged, and the roadway was cut through rugged hillsides.
The roadway through Vidanta's East Cape property will be about 2 miles long from the highway to the beach. It is currently paved to the Sales Outlook area, which overlooks the construction that is underway.
Tower One has reached its height. It appears to be five stories tall on the west side of the building and three stories tall on the east side. The east side faces the Gulf of California and beach. It looks as though the three story side has a flat roof and may be used for guest services of some sort - pool, restaurants, rooftop gardens, etc. We say this because the units above have a wonderful view and it is not likely to be marred by air conditioning and other mundane equipment. What do you think?

Progress is being made. Just look at the following photo, which was taken in January, 2019:

The sales department feels the towers under construction will be open by the end of 2019. Although it would be wonderful if that were the case, the most likely scenario is an opening in late 2020.
