The Estates Facilities in Nuevo Vallarta - Construction is Underway

An Aimfair member just returned from Nuevo Vallarta and had these comments to offer:Great update, and thank you for the photos. Nice to see the Estates progressing as well as they are.

Here are a couple of pics of my visit to Nuevo last week for your website. The Estates welcome center and models are almost complete with concrete. They are located right next to the driving range. Vidanta is now advertising the models will be ready for showing by the end of the year.

The first fIive holes of the Nayar course are moved to the original Norman course holes. You have to cross back over the bridge to play 6-9. Number nine is the par three at Tower 5 and 5b. Number 10 is now the dogleg hole behind the Spatium so hole 18 finishes with the par 3 by the condominiums.
The first five holes of the Nayar Course are on the Greg Norman course. So you have to cross the bridge to start your play on the Nayar Course. (Please tap the image to expand, then tap your browser's back arrow to return to the page.)
The remaining holes are on the North side of the Ameca River. The 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th holes are in the area of Tower Five. The final 9 holes are on the north side of the property. Interesting for sure! (Please tap the image to expand, then tap your browser's back arrow to return to the page.)
Half of the resort was closed last week including pools (spa, big half of Punta, GM lazy river, rooftop tower 5) and many restaurants as well. A lot of maintenance going on to get ready for high season. They were resurfacing the teak floors at the Punta pool and renovating the Punta rooms. Tower 2 and 3 appeared to be closed. Looks like the elevator project in tower 5 is complete as the building was active. I noticed they were also hosting a large Nissan convention when I arrived.
Played the par three Lakes course which they have increased fees to the member rate to $37 for 10 par three holes (seems excessive). Also no night play under lights during low season. Below are latest rack rates.
The rack rates for golf translate into roughly $185 per round USD plus caddy for the Nayar course and $235 USD plus caddy for the Norman course. (Please tap the image to expand, then tap your browser's back arrow to return to the page.)
The beach cabanas are great! However, it may be a bit expensive if you used one every day. (Please tap the image to expand, then tap your browser's back arrow to return to the page.)
We spent a day at the Beach cabana. They changed to a $2,000 peso ($106 USD) charge with $1,000 ($52.50 USD) food / beverage credit while you are there. No more bottle of champagne included. Also one cabana is for his/her massages which they let us use our two free contract massages at the beach.
Lastly, the Ameca river was very brown from the rainy season runoff which spilled into the ocean and is then pushed back onto the Vidanta beach by the waves. Hope they can find a better solution here.
