The Estudio-Cafe is a family owned and run restaurant located on the Marina near Vallarta Adventures. It is known for breakfasts and Coconut Shrimp, among other things.
One of the "other things" is art. Federico Leon de la Vega, his wife and daughter own and work at Estudio-Cafe every day. Federico's passion is art. He is an accomplished artist with many large commissioned pieces owned by clients who live in the US and Canada.
Every year, Federico and his family sponsor an art show that features local prominant Mexican artists. This year, he will not only be showing the work of a number of artists, he will be sponsoring a live auction. This will not only be fun, but also, it will be a great time to buy art.
The auction is a fund raising project for the American School, which places emphasis on art education and its art program and is where Federico's daughter attends school.
An art show starts on February 8 at the Estudio-Cafe and extends through to the evening of the 12th.
Tickets for the auction cost $250 pesos (or $20 US dollars) per paddle and $125 pesos ($10 US dollars) per attendee to attend. Festivities begin at 6:30 PM. Drinks are served and live music is provided at the cocktail reception. Tickets are available at Estudio-Cafe.
Just so you know, there are the bidding begins... is over
