Travel Industry Consultants, Inc. - Be Very Careful!

June 29, 2019

Gordon and Nino are two Aimfair members. They both, independently brought Travel Industry Consultants, Inc. to our attention again. An interesting exchange between Nino and a reprecentative called James Williams discloses the caller's real intent. Contracts issued to Bill show Travel Industry Consultants, Inc. using an escrow company called W.N.T.A., Inc. that was voluntarily disolved on August 22, 2018, which means the escrow company is impersonating a non-active company. Big Red Flag!!!

Read this post and perform your own due diligence. Travel Industry Consultants appears to be a scam. Be very careful!

First the email exchange between James Williams and Nino:

Then Nino's response:
Hi James,

Sorry that I missed your call.

As I am sure you can appreciate, I have received a few proposals from other travel advisors that have turned out to be scams, and a total waste of my time.

Before I spend any time with Travel Industry Consultants, I would like to vet that your firm is legitimate.

In reviewing Travel Industry Consultants for just a few minutes on the internet, I have found the following results:
  • That the address at 225 Cedar Hill Street, Suite 200 is currently available for rent by Regus
  • The phone numbers for Travel Industry Consultant are non fixed VOIPs (e.g. Skype or Google Voice).
  • I tried to look up your name, David Wilkins, or Travel Industry Consultants on the Virtuoso website as a Travel Advisor – and no results came up.
The above information is rather disconcerting.

Do you have an explanation for the above?

Regards,

Nino
Followed by Nino's note to Aimfair:
Hi Bob and Mary Ann

Hope that all is well with you folks.

Just wanted to inform you of this scam that I think I discovered.

The name of the company is Travel Industry Consultants. I see that another Aimfair member enquired to Bob about them.

Their emails and website seem semi-credible. My wife, Pat, spoke to them when they called – and Pat said they sounded credible.

However, when I did a quick check on the internet based on the verification metrics that Bob has advised us to check – they don’t check out.

Needless to say, Travel Industry Consultants has not replied to my email below.

So I thought I would inform you of my email exchange with them below, as well as my investigation.

Please feel free to share this information on the Aimfair website. Let me know if you have any questions.
Bill in a separate note sent information he received from individuals claiming to work for Travel Industry Consultants, Inc. Here is what we found:

Although additional information could be gathered to complete a due diligence process used to determine whether or not to do business with these companies, it is very clear that neither can be trusted and both are scams! There is no need to dig any further into whether or not we should do business with either of them. The answer is DEFINITLY NOT!

Thank you Gordon and Nino for actively pursuing due diligence to unearth the true intensions of these callers and representatives and sending us your results.
