Tower Five B is nearing its total height. That said, we do not yet know the floor plans that will be in this tower. Certainly they will be larger than one bedroom or studio lofts. Time will tell. Stay tuned...
Tower Five B and The Convention Center

A close look at the way Tower Five B is configured suggests units will be two and three bedroom floor plans. It appears two bedroom units could be located in the center of the tower and three bedroom units could be on the corners. That is speculation on our part. Let us know what you know by leaving a comment below or sending us an email.During the Aimfair Gatherings, there were discussions about how active the new convention center will be and questions raised about where the attendees will stay. There was concern that conventions will complete against owners for Luxxe and SPA units.
At the Gatherings, Mr. Brett Estes, the Member Liaison for Vida Vacations expained use of the convention center will be heaviest during the off season when demand for units by owners is low. Summer months presrent difficult times for the company because of low demand from Grand Luxxe Residence Club members during these months. The objective is to increase off season occupancy by marketing facilities to convention planners and organizations.
We hope the company is successful at this. Why? Because if they are, then employment becomes more stable, which means service levels will improve and staff will be better trained. We all know that in past summer periods, restaurants and buildings have been closed for financial reasons. In addition, many employees are let go. Then at the beginning of the next season, a whole new group of employees must be hired, trained and ready to serve members when they arrive in November through May.
The convention center building is beautiful. This morning, we received our first glimps at this new structure. Here is how it looks:
The new convention center is across and north of the Santuario. It is a very large structure, and the area in this photo faces the lagoon and is across the lagoon from La Cantina.

The new convention center is also located very close to the taxi arrival area. There could be large amounts of foot traffic during periods the convention center is in use.
Progress - the property is being filled out with new structures that will increase use over time. it will be interesting to watch it all unfold. We may be very thankful that we had the chance to visit the property during the early years. It was inevitable that a property the full size of more than 2,000 acres would be improved to increase its value through greater use.
