The Little Gate is Open....For Now...

Getting on and off Vidanta's Nuevo Vallarta property has been a source of irritation for the past couple of years. The subject was one of the most talked about in Aimfair Gatherings.Recently, an Aimfair member sent a note to the President of Vidanta complaining about the absurd policy of restricting members to using taxis to get on and off the property other than walking up the beach to the Sea Garden. He suggested that it would be a very simple matter for the guard at the gate to take the name of the person leaving through the gate and confirm the person's bracelet. Then, upon returninig, check that person back in. Simple process.
Last week, we received a photo and a statement that the Little Gate between the 15th (or is it now the 17th) tee box and Boulevard Nayarit was now open. This gated area is the exit for owners of the condos that line the Nicklaus course. The photo is an indicator that the gate may remain open for members to enter and leave the property. It is only a short walk from the are where taxis pick up and let off members leaving or returning to the property.
A few days ago, we heard from an Aimfair member on the Owner's Forum that he passed through the gate, and the guard did exactly what was suggested. He jotted down the guest's name and room number on his clipboard. We assume he checked the guest back in if he returned through the gate.

The walk from the taxi area to the Little Gate takes you on the roadway used by taxis. Be careful!!
